Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming film, Be Happy, is said to be an emotional story with a unique focus on the father-daughter relationship—an aspect he feels has been underrepresented in Hindi cinema. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are parents to teen Aaradhya Bachchan. In a recent chat with Fever FM, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about a father’s role in a child’s life and said that while they can never replace mothers, they are also often forgotten about and not given credit where it’s due.
Abhishek Bachchan said, “A lot of the time, in general discourse, we forget what a father might be going through. I feel men are not very good at expressing. It’s a huge flaw and we feel that we just need to very silently take on whatever responsibilities or pressures and just get on with it."
Be Happy marks Abhishek Bachchan’s reunion with child actor Inayat Verma, with whom he previously worked in the 2020 comedy-drama Ludo. The film also features Nora Fatehi, Nassar, Johnny Lever, and Harleen Sethi and is set to premiere on Prime Video on March 14. Produced under Remo D’Souza Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the film is backed by Lizelle Remo D’Souza, promising a touching narrative that sheds light on the resilience and love within a family overcoming loss.
