For the unversed, Apoorva Mukhija has been facing legal troubles for Ranveer Allahbadia’s recent comments on India’s Got Latent. Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, during an episode of the show, allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate question involving body parts and proposed an indecent act in exchange for Rs 2 crore. The outrage peaked when he posed a controversial question: “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?"
Following the incident, a police complaint was filed not just against Ranveer and Samay but against Apoorva too. They were accused of promoting obscene and sexually explicit content on the show, invoking multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Due to the controversy, Samay deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube and rescheduled his India tour.
Previously, Apoorva also visited the National Commission for Women (NCW) office, where she submitted her written apology. A viral video shared by ANI last month showed Apoorva leaving the Khar police station, avoiding media interactions while covering her face with a mask.
