The singer justified his artistic decisions by pointing out that the options and styles accessible to singers are frequently shaped by the music industry. He said, “Working in silence is tougher than it seems. It takes years of patience and resilience to prepare for the moment your talent and hard work are finally recognised. Until then, it’s a quiet struggle – a personal battle fought within."
The Besabriyaan singer reacted to the backlash, writing, “’Everyone says: “Bring back the old Armaan Malik… the Bollywood one.’ But just like every app gets a software update, and it takes time to adjust, growth works the same way. With time, things only get better. Every artist evolves, shedding their old skin to become a better version of themselves."
Armaan further highlighted the versatility in his song choices. “Main Bol Do Na Zara bhi hoon, main How Many bhi hoon. Main You bhi hoon aur Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon bhi. Main Butta Bomma bhi aur Control bhi. Har artist ke alag alag rang hai just like the rainbow," he added.
The singer admitted to caring about his fans and their opinions when one asked him why he even feels the need to reply to trolls.
