Bipasha Basu has been out of work for the past five years. She was last seen in the show Dangerous alongside her husband, Karan Singh Grover. The project, directed by Bhushan Patel, was produced under Mika Singh’s production banner. Recently, the singer came out in the open to share his not-so-great experience of working with the couple. Speaking with Pinkvilla, Mika revealed that he had roped in Karan with a different heroine, but Bipasha wanted to be a part of it.
Further, Mika Singh added that the budget of the film, which was initially around Rs 4 crore, escalated to Rs 14 crore, due to “drama" caused by Bipasha. He added, “It was a husband-wife film, so obviously, there would be a kissing scene. The director and writer had already planned it, but Bipasha refused at the last minute."
