BLACKPINK’s Jennie has been getting all the attention for her debut album, Ruby and its track, Like JENNIE, has taken the K-pop world by storm. Its catchy beats and groovy rhythm have captured the hearts of fans everywhere. Recently, on the South Korean music program Show Champion, Jennie earned top honours for the third time for Like JENNIE. The hit song faced fierce competition against other hit tracks like KiiiKiii’s I DO ME, LE SSERAFIM’s HOT, TNX’s For Real? and NCT’s Ten’s STUNNER. Despite the tough competition, Jennie’s track won the prestigious trophy, proving once again why she’s one of K-pop’s brightest stars.

This was Jennie’s third solo music show win for Like JENNIE and her eighth overall since the song’s debut. She couldn’t attend the show to receive the award in person, but the hosts assured fans that the trophy would be safely delivered to the talented singer.

Speaking about the track Like JENNIE in an interview with Variety, the singer explained, “With this song, I don’t think I’m necessarily saying, like, you like me or you wanna be me. I also wanted to name it like, ‘Like Blank’ you know, I want this to be a confidence boost for people and to just have fun, really. That’s the message there. Love yourself and, you know, have fun in life."

Earlier, Jennie also won an award on M Countdown for her song Love Hangover, for which she collaborated with Dominic Fike. In the show, she stood against her BLACKPINK bandmate Jisoo, whose track Earthquake also received nominations.
