Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 20: Vicky Kaushal’s Film Refuses to Slow Down
Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava continues to dominate the box office, nearing the Rs 500 crore mark domestically. The film has surpassed records of Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2 in third-weekend collections.

Remember when people used to say, “Historical films don’t work anymore"? Well, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava just laughed in their faces as it keeps marching forward like a true warrior. After 20 days in theatres, the film is still standing tall, collecting big bucks, and proving that audiences love a gripping story when it’s told with passion and power.
From the moment Chhaava hit the screens, it has been doing great business. And now, as it enters its 20th day at the box office, the film is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, it’s still pulling in strong numbers. With no major competition at the box office right now, Chhaava is expected to continue its successful run in the coming weeks and might even enter the elite 200-crore club.

Chhaava is on the brink of crossing the coveted Rs 500 crore mark at the domestic box office, joining the elite league of films to achieve this milestone. This would also make it the second film under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films banner to hit this benchmark, following last year’s Stree 2. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava raked in Rs 5.5 crore on Tuesday, pushing its total collection in India to Rs 472 crore. At this pace, the film is expected to surpass the Rs 500 crore mark by the weekend.
Chhaava has now set a new benchmark for third-weekend collections! The film raked in Rs 60.10 crore over its third weekend, surpassing the records of Pushpa 2 (Hindi) at Rs 60 crore, Stree 2 at Rs 48.75 crore, and even Baahubali 2, which had earned Rs 42.55 crore. With this feat, Chhaava has cemented its place as the highest-grossing film in its third weekend.
Chhaava isn’t just Vicky Kaushal’s highest-grossing film—it has now cemented its place among the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time. The film has surpassed Aamir Khan’s Dangal and Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju in lifetime earnings, making it one of the highest-earning Indian films ever. On the all-time list of Hindi movies, Chhaava currently sits at the eighth spot, trailing just behind Ranbir’s Animal. If you exclude Pushpa 2: The Rule and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion—both dubbed films from other languages—Chhaava ranks as the sixth-biggest Hindi-language release in history.
Apart from Vicky Kaushal’s gripping performance, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Diana Penty, Neil Bhoopalam, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta. Released worldwide on February 14, 2025, the film was initially set to clash with Pushpa 2. However, the makers strategically postponed its release.
