Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, is a box office hit, nearing Rs 600 crore. The film, based on Sambhaji Maharaj, has maintained momentum despite IPL 2025. PM Modi praised it.

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava is a true winner at the ticket windows. The film, that released on February 15, is still running in theatres successfully even after 37 days. The historical epic is now eyeing the Rs 600-crore mark and should cross it in no time. Notably, the Laxman Utekar-directorial maintained its momentum at the box office ahead of the IPL 2025. With the IPL season kicking off with its grand opening ceremony on Saturday, it remains to be seen how Chhaava holds its ground in theatres as audiences shift their attention to cricket.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava raked in Rs 2.17 crore on its 37th day in theatres, showing a slight uptick from the previous day’s earnings of Rs 2.1 crore (Hindi: Rs2 crore, Telugu: Rs 10 lakh). With this, the film’s total box office collection now stands at Rs 577.12 crore. Chhaava recorded an overall 13.70 per cent occupancy on Saturday for its Hindi version.
