Dhanush is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated directorial venture, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), set to hit theatres on February 21. As excitement builds, the latest buzz from Valai Pechu suggests that the actor-director is already planning his next project—a collaboration with Lubber Pandhu director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu.
What’s even more thrilling is that renowned music composer Anirudh Ravichander is likely to join the team to create the film’s soundtrack and background score. On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in the thriller Raayan, which turned out to be a massive box-office success. Not only did he star in the film, but he also took the director’s chair for the project.
Recently, he unveiled the official trailer of his next directorial venture, NEEK which received good responses from fans and critics alike. The film stars Priya Prakash Varrier, Anikha Surendran and Pavish in the lead. Dhanush has also co-produced NEEK alongside Kasthoori Raj and Vijayalakshmi Kasthoori Raja under the banner of Wunderbar Films.
The Gen Z rom-com marks Dhanush’s third film as a director after Pa Paandi (2017) and Raayan (2024).
On the acting front, he will be next seen in Kubera. Helmed by Sekhar Kammula, the film also features stars like Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. It will be hitting the theatres in April 2025.
Apart from that, he also has Ilaiyaraaja’s biopic, Idly Kadai and director Anand L Rai’s highly anticipated Tere Ishk Mein with actress Kriti Sanon in his kitty.

He will be next composing songs and background scores for films such as Kingdom, Love Insurance Kompany, Coolie, Jailer 2, King, Indian 3 and Magic.
