For Black Warrant's Zahan Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan Is The ‘First Superstar’
In a recent interaction, Zahan Kapoor disclosed that his first 'superstar' was Hrithik Roshan.
Zahan Kapoor, the cousin of Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor and the grandson of the renowned actor Shashi Kapoor, recently made headlines for his performance in Black Warrant. The crime drama thriller series on Netflix is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. In a humourous anecdote, the young actor said that his first “superstar" was none other than Hrithik Roshan.
Recently, Zahan Kapoor was asked when he first saw the cult classic Sholay in an interview with NDTV. Talking about his early years, he acknowledged that Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai was the first movie that had a profound effect on him.

“Hrithik Roshan is the first superstar for me. Shah Rukh Khan sir aur Aamir Khan mere liye vo shayad thode pehle ke the, to mera connection actually bachpan mein Hrithik Roshan ke saath hua with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai aur main aur mera dost hum dono ne jab dekha hum pagal ho gaye the (Shah Rukh Khan sir and Aamir Khan were actors from slightly earlier years for me, so I had my connection with Hrithik Roshan with Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. Zahan Kapoor was so enamoured with the movie that he even purchased a VCD copy so he could watch it over and over again. In addition, he revealed that he had a sheer black shirt that he would wear when dancing on his bed to songs from Hrithik Roshan’s debut film. Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai was so close to him that he once informed his mother, Sheena Sippy, who is also the daughter of Sholay director Ramesh Sippy, that no movie could ever surpass it.
His mother disagreed with this statement, though, and recommended that he watch Sholay to appreciate true cinematic grandeur. “Tab majboori mein dikhaya mujhe ki yeh dekho… Sholay, aur uske baad mujhe pata chala ki Sholay kya film hai aur sahi mein bohot zyada hi kamaal ki picture hai vo (After being made to see it, I came to the conclusion that it is a fantastic movie)," he stated.
The Black Warrant actor revealed that he was perhaps 12 or 13 years old when he first watched the film. Black Warrant, the critically praised web series by Vikramaditya Motwane, debuted on Netflix in January.
