Hina Khan Reviews Gippy Grewal’s Akaal, Calls It A ‘Masterpiece’
Directed and written by Gippy himself, Akaal: The Unconquered is a historical drama based on the true events of Sikh warriors, showcasing their bravery and resilience.

The makers of Akaal: The Unconquered, the much-anticipated Punjabi period action drama starring Gippy Grewal, held a grand screening on Monday night in Mumbai. The event was graced by several well-known faces from Bollywood and the television world, including popular actress Hina Khan.
The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star, who attended the premiere, later took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the film. Posting a video from inside the theatre, Hina praised the movie and wrote,

Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in collaboration with Humble Motion Pictures, the film features Gippy Grewal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Nimrat Khaira, Princekanwaljit Singh, Nikitin Dheer, Mita Vashisht, Shinda Grewal, Ekom Grewal, Jaggi Singh, Ashish Duggal, Bhana La and Jarnail Singh.
The film marks Karan’s debut as a producer in Punjabi cinema.

It is set for a grand release in Punjabi and Hindi languages on April 10 and will face a big box office clash with Sunny Deol’s upcoming action thriller Jaat, co-starring Randeep Hooda and Viineet Kumar Siingh.
Talking about his first collaboration with Dharma Productions, Gippy Grewal had earlier stated, “I am excited about putting our Sikh warriors’ story to the screen. With Dharma Productions’ help, we can ensure that Akaal crosses linguistic boundaries and reaches every corner of India, demonstrating the strength and bravery of our heritage."
Gippy is known for his work in the Punjabi film industry and has appeared in numerous big regional films, including Carry On Jatta, Lucky Di Unlucky Story, Bhaji in Problem and Jatt James Bond.
Coming back to Hina, she made her debut in the Punjabi film industry with the comedy film Shinda Shinda No Papa opposite Gippy Grewal. The film was a hit and the actress garnered appreciation for her performance. She was last seen in the web show Griha Laxmi, which premiered on Epic On.
