Rajinikanth, Karthi wish Ilaiyaraaja ahead of Symphony debut in London.

Veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja is all set to script history by becoming the first Indian to perform Symphony Valiant in London. Ahead of his grand performance on Saturday, March 8, actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Karthi, and others extended best wishes on social media.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rajinikanth wrote in Tamil, “The hands that played the harmonium in Pannaiapuram are today creating a symphony in London. Saami, you’ve brought pride to India itself! Congratulations."

Meiyazhagan actor Karthi, too, extended his greetings. “Dear @ilaiyaraaja sir, Our hearts are always with you and your music that is timeless and definitely cosmic. Congratulations sir for the release of Symphony No 1 – Valiant. The world can now relish your music which has enthralled millions of us across generations. Our world is richer because of your music sir and am looking forward to greeting you in person," he wrote on X.

Previously, Kamal Haasan hailed Ilaiyaraaja ahead of his mega performance. He wrote, “Maestro @ilaiyaraaja, you continue to inspire. Your Symphony No. 1 – ‘Valiant’ debut in London is set to blaze a trail across genres. The world eagerly awaits the symphonic brilliance you are about to create!"

Ilaiyaraaja spoke to the media at the Chennai airport before leaving for London. Talking about his performance, the music maestro said, “I’m travelling to London to release my new symphony. The world-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra musicians will be performing my symphony. There is absolutely no doubt that this will be a grand musical feast for the fans who come to witness this symphony. This is not my pride alone. It is the pride of India. I pray that everyone receives the complete blessings of God."

Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, VCK head Thirumavalavan, BJP chief K Annamalai, and several other dignitaries congratulated Ilaiyaraaja and wished him ahead of his first symphony.
