Manasi Ghosh, a 24-year-old from Kolkata, won Indian Idol 15. She took home the trophy, Rs 25 lakh in cash, and a brand-new car.
She beat Subhajit Chakraborty and Sneha Shankar to take home the coveted trophy.
Manasi, who credited her mother for supporting her music journey, shared that her family was at the Indian Idol 15 finale, crying and cheering.
The Indian Idol 15 winner also mentioned how she plans to spend the prize money, saying, “I want to use some amount from the prize money on my independent music and the car I will use.”
Indian Idol 15 was judged by Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah. When asked which judge’s feedback mattered most, Manasi said she always looked up to Badshah and Vishal.
While she liked Shreya’s kind comments, she found Vishal’s direct approach most memorable.
Sony TV took to X to share a picture of Manasi while announcing the news. The caption read, “After weeks of music, magic, and moments — Manasi didn’t just win a title, she won a million hearts (black heart emoji).”
