Actor Jr NTR expressed his shock and sadness after hearing about the attack on his Devara co-star, Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed during a break-in at his Bandra residence. The incident took place early in the morning, with Saif being attacked by an unidentified assailant. Saif suffered multiple stab wounds, two of which were deep, one being dangerously close to his spine. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where a team of doctors led by Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange and others are performing surgery to treat his injuries. Mumbai police are actively investigating the case, looking into possible leads and the involvement of anyone who may have aided the burglars. Saif’s condition remains critical, and updates are awaited.
Saif Ali Khan made his Telugu debut with Jr NTR in Devara. At the trailer launch of Devara in September 2024, Saif revealed Jr NTR and Koratala Siva watched the Vishal Bhardwaj film before calling him for Devara. “I am glad that Tarak ji wanted me in it and Siva sir wanted me in it. I think they’d seen Omkara and remembered it. I should thank Vishal ji still," he had said.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan last impressed fans with his role in Devara: Part 1 which marked his Telugu debut. Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR played key roles in the film which was directed by Koratala Siva. Up next, he has Jewel Thief in his kitty, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat. The film will be released in 2025.
