Kartik Aaryan Breaks Silence On Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 And Singham Again Clash: ‘Everyone Was Nervous…’

Kartik Aaryan has finally addressed the much-talked-about box office clash between his upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Ajay Devgn starrer Singham Again. During a media interaction, the actor admitted that the simultaneous release of these two highly anticipated films made him nervous. Both films were released on the same day, i.e. November 1, 2024.
Talking to The Indian Express, Kartik Aaryan said, “We were relieved ki picture chal gai humare (We were relieved that our film worked). We were excited but also nervous because two big films were releasing on the same day. Initially, we were stress-free when it was a solo release on Diwali. It was an entertainer, and we knew that people would enjoy this film. But suddenly, when both films were supposed to release on the same day, the heart beat increased. Everyone was nervous about what was going to happen. On day one, it felt like my first film was releasing. When the film worked, we were relieved that our hard work of 2.5 years paid off—and nothing else."

“The genres of these two films were very different. One was an action film, and the other was a horror comedy. I feel there was enough space for both films. It was a bonanza for film lovers, but if this had been a regular Friday, then maybe things would have been difficult for one of the films. Because it was a Diwali holiday, there were enough screens, and people were in the mood to watch films. The mood was to enjoy, and I think that’s why it got balanced," he further added.

Singham Again is the third instalment in Rohit Shetty’s Singham franchise and is its highest-grossing entry, bringing in around Rs 300 crore worldwide. Singham Again showcased a parallel narrative to that of the mythological epic Ramayana. The story focuses on Bajirao Singham, who ventures into a new journey to save his wife Avni along with his team, which includes Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh. Rohit Shetty’s recent release is the third in the Singham film franchise and the fifth instalment in his Cop Universe after Singham, Singham Again, Simmba and Sooryavanshi.
