Kim Kardashian Believes She Would Have Been ‘Grounded For Life’ By Her Father
Kim Kardashian recently visited the UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health, and she remembered her father.
Kim Kardashian, who strongly advocates for the role of her father, Robert Kardashian, in her life and work, still remembers spending time with him and much more. Not just Kim but the entire Kardashian family believes in the importance of family—a core value passed down by their late father. A businessman and a famous lawyer, Robert rose to national attention after acting for close friend, O.J. Simpson, during his 1994 murder trial. Diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July 2003, Robert passed away in September of the same year.
The SKIMS founder recently opened up about her father, sharing how he would have reacted to his daughters’ lives. In the March 27 episode of The Kardashians, the sisters, while observing the fifth anniversary of the UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health, remembered their late father. The visit prompted them to reflect on their emotions and feelings towards their father, further expressing what he would think of them today.

“He was very playful and very fun. But he would have been pretty pissed off at a lot of things too. I’d be grounded for life already," said Kim, while speaking of her father’s demeanour. Khloe also voiced similar sentiments, stating Robert Kardashian was “incredibly goofy" and much of a “class clown" for her. She added how he wouldn’t have been “too thrilled" by their antics. “But I also think if he were here, we would probably also be different at the same time. Like, maybe not make some of the stupid choices we’ve made. Who knows?" she continued.
Kourtney, who was also a part of the gathering, shared that their father would’ve liked to be on the popular reality shows Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians. “He would definitely be in on the pranks with us. He would be super proud of the families that we’ve created and that we’ve all stayed so close," she added.
Despite having fears of getting grounded, Kim Kardashian believed her father would be most proud of their work toward esophageal cancer research. “There are a few things in life that my dad would be really proud of us for, and this is definitely one of them. We weren’t able to save him with this new technology, but now we can help save other people’s lives," she said in the episode.
For those unaware, Robert Kardashian was married to Kris Jenner from 1978 to 1991, welcoming four children—Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Robert Kardashian Jr.
