A day after Liam Payne’s funeral, an old post of former One Direction singer has surfaced on social media in which he talked about death and funeral. In his post, Liam had asked his fans if they would attend his last rites when he dies. “If I died would you come to ma funeral…?" Liam posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) in December 2010.
The viral post left fans emotional and teary-eyed. “I would die too 🙂 cause I can’t live without you and my life is priceless without you," one of the fans wrote. “We would Liam we love and miss you so much. I dreamed it was all a nightmare. I loved you with all my heart ♥️," added another. Check it out here:

Liam Payne passed away on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Autopsy reports revealed that the singer had alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system at the time of his death. Police officials are now investigating drugs angle in Payne’s death and three people have been arrested as of now.
Liam’s funeral was held on Wednesday in London and was attended by singer’s former band mates – Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.
Payne soared to global fame as part of One Direction, the group that was created on the British talent show “The X Factor" in 2010. However, the singers of the band subsequently embarked on solo careers, after going on an “indefinite hiatus" in 2016.
Previously, members of One Direction also issued a statement and mentioned that they were “completely devastated" following Liam’s death.
“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing," the statement said. “In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly," it added.
“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever," the singers continued and then said, “For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly."
One Direction members concluded their statement by saying, “We love you Liam."
