Liam Payne 'Passed Out' In Hotel Lobby Moments Before Fatal Fall: Report

The eye witnesses have claimed to have seen late singer Liam Payne's erratic and disturbing behaviour in the hotel.

While the Argentine police continue to investigate the factors surrounding the death of singer Liam Payne, fresh details have appeared, adding more twists to the case. The former One Direction member who had a fatal fall from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room, reportedly “passed out" in the lobby before his death. As shared by a few eyewitnesses in the latest episode of ABC News Studio’s Impact by Nightline series, the guests at the hotels saw his disturbing behavior throughout the evening.

Liam Payne, who spent his final days in the Bueno Aires hotel, was spotted repeatedly coming down to the lobby and causing “disturbance," prompting the staff to escort him back to his room. “He was smashing his laptop in the lobby. And then the final time he came back down, he actually passed out in the lobby of the hotel," one of the unnamed guests claimed on the show, as quoted by the US Weekly.

The guests even recalled having multiple encounters with Liam, following which the hotel had to make an emergency call to 911 as they feared that his life might be in danger, especially when his room had a balcony. The singer was in an intoxicated state and was trashing his room, which worried the staff and prompted them to raise an alarm. However, by the time the first responders arrived, Liam had fallen from the balcony, suffered severe injuries, and died on the scene.

Pictures of his hotel room, revealing a grim scenario of smashed TV and possible drugs and other illicit substances, have surfaced on the internet. The Buenos Aires police raided the hotel and reportedly found computer drives and footage from cameras. They appeared to be trying to find who provided him with the drugs.

Liam Payne’s Autopsy Report

As per the autopsy report, the singer had multiple “internal and external hemorrhages" after the fall. It also revealed evidence of drugs in his system. “Liam was in a state of semi- or total unconsciousness" when he fell, as per media reports.

Following his death, the news sparked a wave of grief and sorrow among his millions of fans, his family and friends, including his One Direction bandmates. While the investigation still remains underway, authorities are yet to hand over Liam’s body to his family for the last rites.
