Mumtaz Owns The Stage At Manish Malhotra's Fashion Show; Walks The Ramp With Shilpa Shetty, Khushi Kapoor
Veteran actor Mumtaz turned showstopper at Manish Malhotra's fashion show, sharing the stage with Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, and Khushi Kapoor.

Veteran actor Mumtaz spread her charm on the ramp at Manish Malhotra’s fashion show. She turned showstopper for the designer’s latest collection and owned the stage with two generations of actors, including Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar and Khushi Kapoor.
The event took place earlier this month. Mumtaz shared a throwback memory from her experience on the ramp and how her fellow celebrity showstoppers escorted her on the stage. The Aap Ki Kasam actor wore a black custom Manish Malhotra saree, with bright flowers sparsely spread all across the borders. Urmila, who was also present on the stage, wore a bright red saree. While Shilpa was a vision in white, Khushi oozed elegance in a saree with a thigh-high split ensemble. “It was an absolute pleasure and fun working with Manish Malhotra. You all have showered so much love that it is unbelievable. I am humbled. Thank you," she wrote, while sharing the video. Take a look:

Prior to this, Mumtaz shared her solo pictures in a saree from her ramp night. “I had the pleasure of being a showstopper at @manishmalhotra05 show , his creations are always the best," wrote the actor. Manish quickly responded, saying that it was an honour for him to feature Mumtaz in his show. “It was a True Honour for you to be a part of our show which was based on the theme of the style of indian cinema which is incomplete with out," he commented.

Mumtaz was one of the reigning actors in Bollywood in the 60s and 70s. She has largely worked with Rajesh Khanna, Shashi Kapoor, and Dev Anand. She left a prolific career in films to focus on her family after marrying businessman Mayur Madhvani in 1974. In 1976, she moved to London with her husband where she welcomed two daughters. She steadily retired from films after Naagin in 1976, only to return with Aandhiyan in 1990. The film tanked at the box office and Mumtaz steadily faded away from the Hindi film industry.
