Nagarjuna Reviews Son Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel, Praises His 'Relentless Passion'

Naga Chaitanya’s latest release Thandel has been winning hearts. In the film, Sai Pallavi plays the female lead. Ever since it arrived in theatres on February 7, the film has garnered positive remarks, even receiving shoutouts from the star. Earlier, Sobhita Dhulipala cheered for her beau, Naga Chaitanya, for his performance in the film. Now, the actor’s father and superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni has dropped a touching post to appreciate his son’s performance and Thandel’s team.
On X, Nagarjuna posted a throwback picture of him and Chaitanya along with the film’s poster. Along with the same, he wrote, “Dear Naga Chaitanya, Proud of you my son! I have watched you push boundaries, face challenges, and give your heart to the craft. Thandel is not just another film—it is a testament to your relentless passion, your courage to dream big, and your hard work. To all the Akkineni fans—you have stood by us like family, and Thandel’s success is as much yours as it is ours. Thank you for your endless love and support! Gratitude."

Speaking of the film Thandel, it has earned a total of Rs 40.5 crore till the fourth day of its release and is going strong at the box office. Helmed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film also stars Prakash Belawadi, Divya Pillai, Rao Ramesh and Karunakaran in pivotal roles apart from the lead stars. As for the storyline, it chronicles the journey of a fisherman from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh who accidentally drifts into Pakistan’s waters and is detained. The film is inspired by a real-life 2018 incident.
Naga Chaitanya made headlines last year for his wedding with Sobhita Dhulipala after dating each other for a while. Before Sobhita, the actor was married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
