Following the teaser launch of his upcoming film The Paradise last month, Nani created a buzz with his big claims that the movie would emerge as “India’s Mad Max." His statement led many to believe that the movie would be packed with an unprecedented cinematic experience like that of the Hollywood blockbuster. Now, the actor has come out to clarify the air around the speculations, saying that it is not a Mad Max kind of film.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Nani clarified, “We are in the prep work right now for The Paradise. We will start shooting soon, and it’s a crazy film. In fact, in one of my interviews, I said the film is Mad Max. Somebody wrote that it is a Mad Max kind of film."

Moving ahead, Nani added that people misinterpreted his statement adding that he did not mean to convey that The Paradise will be a Mad Max-like movie. Instead, he wanted to say that the highly anticipated flick will be a maximum in madness." As the star went on talking about the movie and director Srikanth Odela, he continued, “Srikanth has extremely unique weak points. The highs come from the most unexpected places. The way he looks at a particular episode or a scene, I don’t think any filmmaker in the Telugu industry will see it like that."

Before concluding, Nani also assured fans that his upcoming action entertainer would be nothing short of a concert packed with thrilling, mad energy in each subsequent scene. Without revealing details about the plot, the actor assured that there were scenes in the film no one would have expected and that they would make the audience stand and scream.

Set in 1980s Secunderabad, The Paradise revolves around the story of a fictional oppressed tribe denied their fundamental rights. Amid their struggles, an unlikely leader emerges who fights for them and steers them toward the mainstream. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Srikanth Odela, the film will arrive in theatres on March 26, 2026.

Nani’s slate for 2025 appears solid as he is set to feature as the lead in the film HIT: The Third Case. The movie, which is the 3rd instalment in the HIT Cinematic Universe, is helmed by Sailesh Kolanu.
