Chhorii first released in 2021. It follows the story of Sakshi, a pregnant woman, who seeks refuge in a remote village, only to encounter terrifying supernatural forces. The film is a remake of the Marathi movie Lapachhapi (2017). It explores themes of societal evils and motherhood while delivering spine-chilling horror. Its success led to the announcement of Chhorii 2, which promises to delve deeper into Sakshi’s haunting experiences. Directed by Vishal Furia, the sequel also stars Soha Ali Khan. It is expected to intensify the psychological and supernatural horror elements.
