Ranbir Kapoor Touches Salman Khan's Father Salim Khan's Feet At Deb Mukherjee's Funeral | Watch
Ranbir and Alia returned to Mumbai upon hearing the news of Deb Mukherjee's death. They were in Alibaug to celebrate Holi.
Ranbir Kapoor cancelled his Holi celebration on Friday after the demise of Ayan Mukerji’s father, Deb Mukherjee. Ranbir and Alia, who were in Alibaug for the Holi celebration, then rushed to Mumbai to attend the funeral of the veteran actor. While several videos of the Brahmastra actor from Ayan’s residence have surfaced on social media, a new clip shows that even Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan paid his last respects to Deb.
In the viral clip, Rabir Kapoor can be seen helping Salim Khan as the latter arrived at Ayan Mukerji’s residence. The young actor then touched Salman Khan’s father’s feet and sought blessings from him. The screenwriter was also escorted by his staff members as he expressed his deepest condolences to the grieving family. Watch the video here:

Ranbir returned to Mumbai with his actress-wife, Alia, upon hearing the news of Deb Mukherjee’s death on Friday. The former has shared a long-standing bond with Ayan Mukerji, having worked with him on Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. At a recent media event celebrating Alia’s birthday, Ranbir confirmed that Brahmastra: Part Two is in development and added that Ayan will only begin working on it after the release of War 2.
Meanwhile, several other celebrities including Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol and Jaya Bachchan also visited Ayan Mukerji’s residence to pay their last respects.
On Saturday, Kajol also took to her Instagram stories and expressed that grief is the price one pays for loving deeply, and while it never fully disappears, one eventually learns to live with it. “Grief is the price we pay for having loved deeply. It never goes away. we just learn to live with it," she wrote, after the death of her uncle, Deb.
