Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial Ramayana has been grabbing attention for a long time. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are the lead actors in the film. Recently, television actor Ravi Dubey confirmed his role as Lakshman in the mythological drama. He has also praised Ranbir Kapoor and called him one of the most commercial actors of this generation. Note that the film is one of the most talked-about films in Bollywood.

Talking to Connect Cine, Ravi Dubey talked about his role and said, “Playing Lakshman is an honor and a responsibility. His devotion to his brother Ram and his values are qualities I deeply admire. This is a role I hold close to my heart."

    He also shared his experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor and said, “I am playing Lakshman in the film. I finally have the permission from the makers to reveal this. I didn’t talk about it all this while because I didn’t want to give irresponsible statements and spoil Namit (Malhotra) and Nitesh sir’s plans to reveal the cast." Ravi added, “He is like the elder brother I never had." He added, “He is kind, warm, he is the most immaculate professional that I have ever met. This is my first time working alongside a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor and his kindness, empathy, silence and grace towards everyone (is impeccable)."

    “Every time he is in front of camera, you will see he has been at it. He is the only commercial, viable artist of this generation," the actor added.

    Ranbir Kapoor has locked Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027 for Ramayana Part 1 and Ramayana Part 2. The film’s first poster has been released along with the release date. Ranbir plays the role of Lord Ram. The two-part films are directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The release date was confirmed by Prime Focus Studios’ Namit Malhotra.

    Namit also shared the first poster of the film. The poster featured an arrow, that oozes of magic and is coated with a golden glow. The poster reads, “Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana" along with the release date.
