Sara Ali Khan Says Trolling Doesn't Bother Her Anymore: 'The Problem Was The Emotion Of...'
Sara Ali Khan says she has learnt to handle social media trolling.

Bollywood actress and daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan, often faces criticism on social media for her acting skills. In a recent talk at the Times Now Summit, she shared how she handles trolling and how meditation helps her a lot.
Sara explained that she’s built a thicker skin over time, and trolling no longer bothers her. She said, “It’s become a lot less because I have started filtering out as much as I can. What helps me a lot is meditation—it allows me to see what’s real and what’s not. I have started looking at my own thoughts like clouds. I don’t even attach myself to every thought. The problem was never trolling; the problem was the emotion of ‘Is this person right?’ Now, I let that thought go. I let go of ‘Sara is the best,’ and I let go of ‘Sara is the worst.’ Sara is. That’s what I am focusing on."

During the same interaction, Sara also addressed the backlash she receives for visiting Hindu temples, Sara shared that her mother, Amrita Singh, taught her early on not to view herself through the lens of religion or caste. “I was very young, in school, and even when my parents were married and we used to immigrate together abroad, I used to always wonder… Amrita Singh, Saif Pataudi, Sara Sultana, Ibrahim Ali Khan, what is going on? Who are we? And I remember asking my mom, ‘What am I?’ And she told me, ‘You are Indian.’ And I will never forget that," she said.
On the work front, Sara was recently seen in Ae Watan Mere Watan, a patriotic drama based on freedom fighter Usha Mehta. She also starred in Sky Force alongside Akshay Kumar and is currently filming a light-hearted spy comedy under Dharma Productions with Ayushmann Khurrana. Up next, she’s set to appear in Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino, and an untitled romantic comedy with Sidharth Malhotra.
