Shaan Says He Didn't Call Salman Khan To 'Pull Any Strings' After Having To Share Sikandar Song's Credit
Salman Khan's Eidi this year was expected with AR Murugadoss' Sikandar.

Salman Khan’s Eidi this year was expected with AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar. But before that, fans got an early gift with the release of the song “Bam Bam Bhole" during Holi. The song, which celebrates the festival of colours, was composed by Pritam and sung by Shaan and Dev Negi. In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Shaan revealed that he actually sang the whole song but had to share the credits with Dev Negi after the final mix.
“There are two voices in the song, and one hero on the screen. But I think at the end of the day, it is the call of the production house, and I think Sajid (Nadiadwala) bhai wanted to do something different with the number," said Shaan, adding that Pritam asked him to sing the energetic track, and they recorded a few versions with his voice.

Shaan explained that because of last-minute changes, the team decided to use two voices for the song. “Due to certain reshuffling in the last minute, I think they decided to go with two voices. In fact, Dev Negi had sung the shoot mix," said Shaan. He added, “See, when you are listening to a song in a certain voice and in a certain production quality, and you are listening to it for a long time during shooting, etc… your mind is tuned to it. And just before the release, when you get someone else to sing the final version, and you hear it with a new voice and new beats, you believe the previous version worked for you. This isn’t the first time."
Shaan explained that Pritam’s team had contacted him for approval before the final mix. He said, “They were sweet enough to ask me if I was okay with it, and I said it was their call. See, it is not personal. Probably, they wanted to experiment, or give the song a new tone. It is their money, their movie, and they have a lot more at stake," said Shaan.
Shaan also clarified that he doesn’t think Salman had any influence on this, as they’ve known each other for a long time. “But I have never called him up to pull any strings," he said.
