Veer Pahariya Calls Brother Shikhar And Himself ‘Simple’; Adds ‘Janhvi and Khushi Are My…’ | Exclusive
Veer Pahariya discusses his relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. He adds being away from the public eye, Shikhar is 'inaccessible'.

Veer Pahariya’s debut film, Sky Force, earned more than Rs 15.30 crore on its first day. The young actor has also been winning praises for holding his win against superstar Akshay Kumar in the film. As love continues pouring in, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Veer reveals that he hasn’t had ‘the time to sink it all in’. He tells us, “I haven’t eaten or slept in days. I don’t know if you can see it in my face (laughs). But I’m very, very happy about it because I was waiting for it. I gave my life and soul to Sky Force. It’s been a journey of more than three years."
He further adds, “I may have been working on films for many years but there were long periods of waiting too. I waited for a time like this when I wouldn’t have the time to do anything else except for work. I’m very happy with the rejections I had and the tests I had go through because they made me stronger. I think as an artist, it’s okay to be in love with your work but your work also needs to bring in money because there are producers investing in your film. I’m very grateful to everyone for accepting me."

The reaction from his family has been overwhelming too, including grandfather Sushilkumar Shinde, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. “My family is very proud of me for being a part of Sky Force," states Veer. And speaking about his family, it can be rightly said that Veer and his elder brother, Shikhar Pahariya, are the paparazzi’s darlings. They’ve often been spotted out and about attending high-profile events.
How would Veer describe his equation his Shikhar, a horse rider and a professional polo player? “He’s not in the public eye. He isn’t very accessible. To me, he’s a friend figure. He’s someone I can go to if I need personal or professional advice. We talk about everything and we’re very close. Both he and I are very normal. We’re very simple people. We don’t care about materialistic things. Experiences are more important for us," he remarks.
Shikhar’s profession may keep him away from the limelight but he often hits headlines for his relationship with Janhvi Kapoor, who has been showering praises on Veer for his debut. Talking about her, he says, “Janhvi and Khushi (Kapoor) are my first actor friends in the industry." As for Khushi, his contemporary, who marked her debut a while ago, Veer asserts that he doesn’t look at the new crop of actors as his competition.
“I think it’s very good and important for new talents to come in. I don’t look at it as competition. It’s more like a collaboration. If I’m able to learn something from another artist and they’ve their unique style and voice, it will only help me and the industry in getting more viewers. I think, the more, the merrier," shares Veer, who was an assistant director on Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya.
