William Levy, the Cuban-American actor best known for his work in telenovelas and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, was taken into custody in Florida earlier this week. According to WPLG-TV, the 44-year-old star was arrested on charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
The arrest occurred in Weston, a suburb of the Miami metro area, with officers from the Broward Sheriff’s Office taking him into custody. Jail records confirmed that Levy was booked into the Broward County Main Jail, and as of Tuesday, he was still behind bars. CBS News noted, “no expected release date or projected sentence has been listed in the jail system as of Tuesday."

Levy, who boasts a following of over 12 million on Instagram, has had a long-running career in entertainment, including a stint on Dancing With the Stars Season 14, where he partnered with two-time champion Cheryl Burke. He also made headlines for appearing in the music video for Jennifer Lopez’s 2011 single I’m Into You. Rumors of a romantic link between the two made the rounds that year, though TMZ reported they were denied at the time.
This arrest is not the actor’s first brush with controversy. In 2024, Levy’s ex-partner Elizabeth Gutiérrez reportedly contacted the police, alleging he was drunk and with another woman at his home, as per Hola. No arrests were made then, but the incident did stir a heated debate online.
