Aman Sehrawat didn’t merely just add his name to a coveted list of Olympians. The young Indian scripted history with his Bronze medal win, becoming the youngest-ever Indian to win an Olympic medal.
Sehrawat finally wrote his name within the stars with a dominant 13-5 win over Puerto Rico’s Damien Toi Cruz in the Men’s 57kg Freestyle event, bringing India their sixth medal of the Paris Olympics.

The wrestler, aged 21 years and 24 days, pipped over Indian badminton ace PV Sindhu, who won her iconic Silver at Rio 2016 at the age of 21 years, 1 month and 14 days, to become the youngest successdul Indian Olympian.
At the time of her bronze medal triumph at Tokyo 2020, which made her the first and only Indian woman to date to win multiple Olympic medals, PV Sindhu had just turned 26.

At the Paris Olympics, Sehrawat ensured himself an easy passage into the quarterfinal with a dominating performance against North Macedonian rival Vladimir Egorov in the 57kg freestyle category at the Paris Olympics.
Sehrawat continued his dominant start in the 57kg freestyle category after entering the semifinals of the ongoing Paris Olympics on Thursday. Aman outclassed 4th seed Albanian Zelimkhan Abakarov 12-0 via technical superiority to make it to the last-four round.
But, the grappler’s luck would run out soon in embarrasing fashion too, as he was beaten 0-10 by Japanese grappler Higuchi Rei in the semifinal.
But, all’s well that ends well. And it sure would for Sehrawat, who walked away from Paris with a stunning Bronze to show for himself, as he took down Puerto Rico’s Damien Toi Cruz and etched his name in the history books.
