WhatsApp Account Banned? Here’s How To Raise A Request To Get It Back
WhatsApp bans your account for violating its rules that can range from using a modified version or become a serial spammer.

WhatsApp bans lakhs of accounts and most of them are victims of their own violations that the platform strictly follows and wants its users to do so. Banning WhatsApp accounts means you cannot receive messages, chat with friends, call them or share videos.
In fact, the WhatsApp account on your phone becomes unusable in these situations. But losing the account is not the end of the world and WhatsApp has a clear redressal process in place which gives you the chance to request a review of the account ban, especially if you think the ban was a mistake.

WhatsApp Account Ban Review: How It Works
First thing you should do is email WhatsApp. You also have the option to request a review in the app. This is available in Settings – Help – Help Centre – Account and Account Bans to get started.
After applying for the review, WhatsApp will look into your case and contact you after thoroughly going through the charges and your own background.
It must be noted that any WhatsApp review of banned accounts in the app will be authenticated using a 6-digit registration code that will be sent to you via SMS.
Once you’ve entered it, you’ll be able to submit your request for a review and add details to support your case.
Talking of bans, WhatsApp said in a report earlier this week that in February 2025, it saw over 9 lakh accounts in India violate its terms and rules, for which their account was banned.
