Muhammad Rizwan, an Indian freestyle footballer, holds the Guinness World Record for the most viewed Instagram reel ever, surpassing 554 million views. His viral video features a trick shot at a waterfall in Kerala
The world’s most popular Instagram reel has more views than the population of Germany, Spain and France combined! This reel belongs to a content creator from India who recently received an honour from the Guinness World Record for this milestone.
Muhammad Rizwan (@riswan_freestyle) is from Kerala and is a freestyle football player. In November 2023, he posted a reel which went so viral that it became the most viewed reel in the world.

In the video, you can see that Rizwan is present at Keralamkundu Waterfall in Malappuram. He also has a companion there with him. He kicks the football from a distance and the ball goes straight into the rocks behind the waterfall. Even Rizwan was surprised to see this. The video went so viral that at the time of publishing this report, it had received 554 million (55.4 crore) views. Not only this, 92 lakh people have liked the video and more than 42,000 people have also commented.
His achievement was recognised by the Guinness World Records and he was also given the World Record Award for the most views on a reel.
On January 8, 2024, Rizwan posted another video to celebrate the world record of his reel.
