Velumani, in his post, pointed out how many young professionals celebrate securing jobs in top tech firms as they believe their future is set. But they face unexpected setbacks later.

“Imagine how many might have celebrated for getting a campus placement with such brands. Now how many might feel depressed! It is not 10 or 20. 100 or 200 1000 or 2000 14000!!!!" Velumani wrote. “Do not celebrate too early. Career or business – It’s a Marathon Race," he added.
Velumani’s post came in the backdrop of reports that Amazon was set to lay off 14,000 employees, an issue that has recently triggered a buzz on social media. The speculations surrounding Amazon could be stemming from an earlier announcement by the e-commerce giant in September 2024 regarding a major restructuring to save costs.
