Inside MrBeast's $14 Million City For His New Show 'Beast Games'
In a YouTube interview with KSI and Logan Paul, MrBeast claimed that the overall budget of the reality game show was more than 100 million dollars.
YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has announced his upcoming reality show – “Beast Games". It is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime on December 19. He recently dropped a trailer of “Beast Games" on YouTube, claiming it to be the “most insane competition show you’ve ever seen". Nearly 1,000 contestants went through several physical and mental challenges to take home the “biggest single prize in the history of television and streaming" of 5 million dollars. MrBeast recently shared some glimpses of the massive set where the show was shot.
In the X post, the popular content creator claimed he had spent 14 million dollars to build a makeshift city to accommodate the contestants. “We spent $14,000,000 building a city in a field for the contestants in Beast Games to live and compete in. December 19th is almost here," MrBeast wrote in the caption.

The announcement left many users in shock. Some of them wondered how MrBeast would recover the money he invested in the reality game show. Responding to one such question, the 26-year-old said, “The goal is to make the best content possible not make money."

One user criticised MrBeast, saying, “I am sorry but one 25-minute video is not a good way how to spend 14 million. You can do far better and more useful things with this amount of money." In reply, the content creator clarified that it would be a “10-episode Prime video show", not a typical YouTube video.

A MrBeast fan showed his support for the upcoming show and commented, “Everyone’s upset that he spent $14 million on a set to film a 10-episode show for Amazon. Are these people aware of how much is spent on sets for major blockbuster films? This is pennies by comparison."

MrBeast holds the title of the biggest YouTuber with more than 335 million subscribers. He recently appeared in an interview with KSI and Logan Paul. During the conversation, MrBeast claimed that the overall budget of the show was more than 100 million dollars.
As per reports, the set for “Beast Games" was built in Toronto. Items like sleeping bags, mattresses and clothes which were used by the contestants during the show were later donated to the local organisations.
