Man, 26, Dating '27-Year-Old Woman' For Four Years Discovers She Is 48

He found out that his girlfriend was 47 years old — not 27, as she had always claimed — a revelation that has left him confused about what to do next.

He shared the story on Reddit, where the post has since gone viral. In it, the man explained that his girlfriend had always said she was born in April 1998. However, while browsing through her laptop, he found a photo of her passport, which revealed her actual birth year as 1977.
“I am a 26 old guy," he wrote. “I’ve been dating my girlfriend for 4 years now, and she always claimed to be born in april ’98, just to find out a picture of her passport in her laptop where is actually ’77. What exactly should I do? I am preatty much in panic now."

The man further went on the explain that he had no reason to doubt her age, as she looked young and appeared to be 27. However, in hindsight, he admitted there were some red flags he had chosen to ignore due to inexperience — this being his first long-term relationship.
“She is very obsessed about her skin, and appearance in general," he wrote. “All her friends are significantly older than 27. most of them in their late 30 or early 40. However I never had the chance to meet any of them, despite me introducing her to all my friends and parents."
He also said that whenever he asked to see her ID or passport, she would avoid the topic or come up with silly excuses. To add to the confusion, he also found a photo of a positive pregnancy test saved on her laptop from just a few months before they met — although she had never mentioned being pregnant.
