Zomato Agent Earns Rs 316 Delivering 8 Orders On Diwali Night, His Vlog Touches Millions
A viral video shows a delivery agent documenting how he spent his Diwali delivery food orders to customers.

Diwali, celebrated on October 31 this year, brought families and friends together across India. People lit up their homes, shared sweets and enjoyed the festive spirit. But while many gathered with loved ones, some people had a very different experience. Ritik Tomar, who works as a Zomato delivery agent part-time in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, spent his Diwali evening out on the streets to deliver food orders. Through an Instagram reel, he shared his journey working on Diwali and it quickly resonated with viewers online.
Starting his shift at 5 PM, Ritik showed scenes of the brightly lit streets as he went from one delivery to the next. His first order of the night earned him Rs 40 as displayed on the Zomato app for delivery partners. With each order, he also showed his surroundings decked up with decorations and lights.

By the time he wrapped up at 11 PM, Ritik had completed a total of eight orders. His earnings totalled up to around Rs 316 by the end of the shift.
Since being shared online, the footage has gained massive attention, with over 5.5 million views and counting. The video sparked a range of reactions in the comment section as many recognised the hard work of delivery partners who kept working through the festive season while others were celebrating.
One user shared, “At Diwali. I was standing on the balcony n thinking about my life…suddenly a Zomato delivery boy on bicycle came to our neighbour’s house to deliver. Everyone is celebrating while some are struggling just to get meals."
Another commented, “That’s why I always make sure to tip them 101 on their personal QR, for some reason it’s not common for people to tip in festive season, and it breaks my heart how numb we have become as a society. Agar khana order karne k paise hai to tipping k bhi rakho (If you can afford to order food, you should have something for the tip as well)."
“Mehnat krte rho bhai tumhara success bhi hm yhi dekhenge (Keep up the hard work brother. We will also witness your success here only)," one person encouraged.
Someone else expressed, “More power to you bhai…may you celebrate your next Diwali with your family."
Another added, “Good days are coming brother, hold up there."
Meanwhile, a user criticised Zomato for not offering extra pay, stating, “You people should at least have little humanity…it was a festival for them too, at least on Diwali you could have given them double pay on each order…."
