Faye Hall, an American woman, who recently got released by the Taliban in Afghanistan, expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump, sharing a video message. Trump, also shared the video from his Truth Social account, with the caption, “Thank you Faye – so honored with your words!"

Hall, in the video, can be heard saying, “Mr. President, I voted for you twice. First of all, I am so happy you’re in the office. It’s a new era, and in this situation, I’m glad you’re the President. Thank you for bringing me home. I have never been so proud to be an American citizen."

    She further added that every imprisoned woman in Afghanistan are waiting to be “set free" by President Trump.

    “They treat you like you are their saviour. They are waiting for you to come and set them free," she said.

    On February 1, Hall was detained, along with a British couple and their Afghan translator, while she was on her way to the central Bamiyan province of the nation.

    Announcing her release, Khalilzad, posted on X, “American citizen Faye Hall, just released by the Taliban, is now in the care of our friends, the Qataris in Kabul, and will soon be on her way home."

    While the cause of her arrest was not known, some media reports suggested that she was detained for using drones without permission.

    Hall is reportedly the fourth American to be freed from Afghanistan since January.
