Several Tesla cars were set on fire on Tuesday morning in the United States, the police said. Elon Musk has called the incident "insane and deeply wrong".

A number of Tesla vehicles were allegedly set on fire in Las Vegas in the United States on Tuesday, according to reports which showed videos of the cars in flames.

The videos of the alleged incident surfaced on social media, claiming that the cars were burnt and the incident took place in Las Vegas. The police are yet to issue a statement in this regard.

    CEO of the company Elon Musk reacted sharply to the incident taking place, terming it “insane and deeply wrong".

    Musk said that Tesla is only involved in making electric cars and does not deserve “evil attacks". Elon Musk called the incident “terrorism".

    “This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong. Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks," Musk posted on X, in response to a user who shared a video of the burning of the cars out in the open.

    Elizabeth Helgelien, former Senator, posted the purported video of the incident taking place in her town and said that such incidents should stop immediately.

      “Happening this morning in my town of Las Vegas, several Tesla vehicles engulfed in flames! This is horrific and evil, it must stop immediately!!!!" she wrote.

      A doxing website called ‘Dogequest’ leaked the personal information of Tesla owners, the New York Post reported. The site reveals the names, addresses and phone numbers of Tesla owners in the US. The site’s operators said they would remove the details on Tesla drivers only if they give evidence of having sold their vehicles, the report said.
