A shocking video of a policeman in Peru attempting to stop a racing biker couple has gone viral on social media. In the video, a motorcyclist, with two onboard, can be seen trying to cross a police checkpost at high speed when a police official hits him with a helmet following which the duo falls off their vehicle.
As per the local media, the incident took place on Friday night at the Trujillo-Huanchaco highway, La Libertad located in northwest Peru.

A checkpost was set up by the police on receiving the news of bikers secretly performing dangerous stunts on the highway, as per an NDTV report. Some of the racers were even stopped and questioned during the inspection.
The viral video has gained more than 10 million views on social media.
In the video, the policeman, Erik Avalos Torres could also be seen falling on the road after hitting the biker with the helmet. He has suffered severe injuries to the face and body. Due to the blow, the woman pillion rider went flying in the air and was seen lying unconscious on the road.
As per reports, the motorcycle rider identified as 23-year old Jhon Verde Reyes was hospitalised. The woman, identified as 18-year old Pamela Florian Sanchez, reportedly received injuries on her head and spinal cord. The biker will undergo surgery due to facial injuries and loss of teeth.
Three other people have also been reported to be seriously injured due to the incident.
Escaping a police checkpoint can be dangerous and in this incident, the biker couple had to suffer a severe blow due to the violation of rules.
