PURE, a company in energy storage and e-mobility for two-wheelers, has launched a battery-based 5 MWh grid storage product, PuREPower Grid, in Delhi. This product aims to enhance India’s energy infrastructure by stabilizing the grid and promoting the integration of renewable energy sources.

PURE plans to invest Rs 400 Crore over the next 18 to 36 months to expand its energy storage products, boosting its production capacity from 250 MWh to 2.5 GWh. This investment, funded through equity and debt, builds on over Rs 100 Crore invested in R&D, plant setup, and battery manufacturing.

PURE has also filed more than 120 IPs, demonstrating its dedication to innovation.

Industry Validation

PuREPower Grid, a 5 MWh containerized product with in-built solar and PCS, has received significant industry validation. PURE has garnered Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from over 10 leading Renewable Energy EPC players and large industries. The demand for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in India is expected to exceed $36 billion by 2030, driven by the need for over 200 GWh of BESS to support the country’s 500 GW renewable energy target.

PuREPower Grid is equipped with high energy density batteries, 5th generation power electronics, and incorporates Cloud and Predictive AI for seamless remote monitoring and 100% uptime. The product features a comprehensive multi-level thermal management system, including nano-PCM cooling at the cell level, liquid cooling at the pack level, and rack-level cooling. This design ensures efficient heat dissipation, extending battery life and improving round trip efficiencies while providing world-class safety.
