'Is Mitchell Santner A Better Hitter Than Tilak Varma?': Harbhajan And Kaif Wonder What If...
Experts were out of their wits to explain the rationale behind call to retire out Tilak Varma and bring in Mitchell Santner.

Tilak Varma was asked to retire out by Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Friday.
The 22-year-old became the fourth in the history of IPL to retire out as he appeared to struggle, batting at 25 off 23 when he walked back to the dugout with MI still needing 24 off the final seven balls. MI eventually lost by 12 runs.

After the loss, MI skipper Hardik Pandya said he takes full responsibility.
āI take full ownership. It was obvious (on Tilak being retired out). We needed some hits. In cricket, some of those days come. When you try but it doesnāt come off," Hardik said.
Former cricketers Mohammad Kaif, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan and Sreevats Goswami took to social media to criticise the move.
Fans too were not happy with the move and let their feeling be known on X, formerly Twitter:
As for the result, half-centuries from Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh along with Digvesh Rathi, Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan holding their nerve while taking a wicket each helped LSG register their first home win of IPL 2025 after edging MI by 12 runs, their sixth win over a formidable Mumbai-based outfit.
