Mohammed Siraj Joins Bumrah In Elite List After Taking 4 Wickets Against SRH
Mohammed Siraj after taking his four-wicket haul holds the rare record in IPL history, joining the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and more.

Mohammed Siraj now finds himself amongst the finest Indian pacers to grace the Indian Premier League as he became the 12th Indian pacer to reach 100 wickets in the tournament during Gujarat Titans’ away clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.
Siraj, who now plays for GT, ran riot in the powerplay by getting rid of the explosive and feared opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma to reach the milestone. What is even more special is that he was able to reach this milestone in his hometown of Hyderabad.

The pacer got the big wicket of Head in the final delivery of the first over as the batter was looking to flick it to the mid-wicket region, but found Sai Sudharshan, who took a fine low catch. He then got rid of Abhishek Sharma in his third over in the powerplay as the batter looked to go for the big heave over long-on, only to find Rahul Tewatia by the boundary ropes to take the catch.
He managed to add a third wicket to his tally in the death overs as well, by removing Aniket Verma. Siraj took his fourth as well, removing Simarjeet Singh by knocking out the stumps in blistering fashion.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who currently plays for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, is the highest wicket-taker among Indian pacers with 183 wickets to his name.
Siraj will look to continue his rich vein of form in this season and hope to regain his spot in the Indian team. He was not a part of the national setup since the Border-Gavaskar Trophy tour, where India endured a crushing series defeat against Australia after a decade. He was ignored for the Champions Trophy 2025 campaign as well, where India went on to lift the title.
But with some time away from cricket, Siraj seems to have rediscovered his mojo and is back amongst the wickets in this season’s IPL.
