Dhoni stumped Salt on the last ball of the fifth over of RCB’s innings, which was bowled by Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad. The England wicketkeeper-batter faced 16 balls on Friday (March 28) at MA Chidambaram Stadium and scored 32 runs with the help of five fours and one six. He was the first RCB batter to get out.

In CSK’s last match of IPL 2025, which was played against the Mumbai Indians at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday (March 23), Dhoni stumped Suryakumar Yadav in a similar sort of dismissal.
The former India captain is the most successful wicketkeeper in IPL history. In 266 IPL matches played so far, the Ranchi-based cricketer has completed 192 dismissals, of which 148 are catches and 44 stumpings. If Dhoni completes two catches in the ongoing match, then he will become the first stumper to complete 150 catches in the IPL.
