Fast bowler Vaibhav Arora received quite a welcome after reaching home from a successful IPL 2024 campaign for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Vaibhav Arora is back home after winning his first Indian Premier League (IPL) title. Arora received a grand reception upon arriving at his hometown Ambala.

The 26-year-old speedster was a vital cog in KKR unit this IPL season. One of his best performances came in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Chepauk.

Arora took charge of the new ball and got the better of a dangerous Travis Head with a stunning out-swinger. In 10 matches, he picked up 11 wickets at an average of 25.09 and an economy of 8.24.

Thanks to his memorable IPL campaign, Arora got a rousing reception after reaching home.

A clip of his homecoming was shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Arora was greeted with garlands and confetti.

Chants of “KKR…KKR" could be heard as people gathered around him to click selfies.

Arora was first signed by KKR in 2021 but was released the following season.

He rejoined the franchise ahead of the 2023 edition.

This season, the right-arm pacer partnered Mitchell Starc in the powerplay and took some crucial wickets.

His first appearance came against the Delhi Capitals where he fetched a three-wicket haul while conceding 27 runs. He claimed the wicket of Rishabh Pant in that league game.

Arora once again showcased his A-game against Chennai Super Kings. He picked two wickets in the away clash, which KKR lost by seven wickets.

In Qualifier 1 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Arora began his spell in the company of Starc and got rid of in-form batter Abhishek Sharma.

In the final, he was quite economical as he gave away only 24 runs in three overs besides taking the prized wicket of Head.

After a dominant show by the new-ball pacers, KKR managed to restrict SRH to 113 runs and won the match by eight wickets.
