Batting superstar Virat Kohli hammered Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana for a six and a four after getting hit on the head by him on Friday (March 28). The incident took place during the 11th over of RCB’s innings of the IPL 2025 match against Chennai Super Kings currently underway at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Kohli tried to play a pull shot on the first ball of Pathirana’s second over of the match but failed to connect properly, and the 142 km/h delivery hit him on the head. But after receiving the treatment, the 36-year-old batter schooled Pathirana and smacked the next two balls bowled by him for a maximum and a boundary.
