Jasprit Bumrah is playing his first match of IPL 2025 for Mumbai Indians on Monday (April 7) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He was introduced to the attack on the fourth over of the match, and after conceding one run on the first ball, he faced Virat Kohli on the second ball, but on that, the right-handed batter from Delhi hammered him for a big six.

The clip of Kohli hitting Bumrah for a second ball six was shared by Star Sports on X, and within no time, it went viral on the internet.
Kohli came out to open the innings for RCB on Monday, and by the end of eight overs, he was batting on 44 runs from 27 balls. So far, Kohli has hammered six fours and one six for the Rajat Patidar-led side.
Before playing a big shot against the Ahmedabad-born pacer, who was retained for Rs 18 crore by Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction, Kohli entered his name in the history books. He hammered Trent Boult for a boundary on the last ball of the third over, and that four helped him cross the 13,000-run mark in T20s.
He is the first Indian and overall fifth batter in the world to score 13,000 runs in T20s.
