RCB post 205/5
Earlier, RR captain Riyan Parag won the toss and invited RCB to bat first, after which, riding on Virat Kohli’s 70 and Devdutt Padikkal’s 50-run knock from 27 balls, the hosts posted a total of 205 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. During his stay at the crease, Kohli hammered 8 fours and two sixes and added 61 runs for the first wicket with Phil Salt (26) and 95 runs for the second wicket with Padikkal.
The half-century on Thursday was Kohli’s fifth fifty in this year’s IPL and overall 111th in T20s. Only David Warner of Australia has registered more 50-plus scores in the shortest format of the game than him.
