Yashasvi Jaiswal Gets A 9, Abhishek Sharma 8: Chris Gayle Rates Indian Cricketers
Chris Gayle said that he likes Yashasvi Jaiswal and the type of cricketer that he is, indicating that he has a serious liking for the hard-hitting Indian youngster.

Former Windies cricketer Chris Gayle, who calls himself the Universe Boss, rated several Indian players in a recent interaction with InsideSport, with the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill scoring brilliant nines, while Hardik Pandya got a balanced rating.
Gayle said that he likes Jaiswal and the type of cricketer that he is, indicating that he has a serious liking for the hard-hitting Indian youngster. The former Windies cricketer gave Jaiswal nine points out of 10.

Gayle was next asked about Gill, and he said, “I won’t give them (the youngsters) the maximum, but they are all super talented. Believing that the latter is the upcoming superstar of Indian cricket, Gayle handed Gill nine points as well.
When it came to rating India’s Mr 360 Suryakumar Yadav, Gayle picked a nine from his number box and gave it to the former.
The former Windies cricketer was then asked about Abhishek Sharma, whom he called a ‘super talent’. Gayle said that Abhishek is a brilliant hitter of the ball and has a bright future ahead while giving him eight points.
Gayle gave KL Rahul an 8, but he spoke about the constant changes in his batting order in the Indian side, leading to some inconsistency as well.
Gayle said that while Rahul’s career did not blossom much, given his talent, he deserves an eight.
When asked about Shreyas Iyer, Gayle said, “Good player, very good player." The star India batter, who was India’s highest run-scorer in the Champions Trophy and is having a great time as the Punjab Kings skipper, received 8/10 from Gayle.
Rishabh Pant, another star India batter known for smacking bowlers all around the park, got 8/10. Gayle called the wicketkeeper ‘swashbuckling’ as well.
Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad got an impressive rating from Gayle, with the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter giving him a solid 7 out of 10.
Gayle didn’t say many words about star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya and gave him a measured 7.
The former Windies cricketer was last seen in action at the International Masters League in February, where he scored 50 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 161.29.
