Bahraich Shocker: Missing Teen’s Body Found In 17 Pieces, 2 Arrested
Police have filed a case against Verma and Lavkush on the charges of murder and tampering with evidence against the accused.

In a horrific incident, the body of a 15-year-old boy who went missing 10 days ago, has been found chopped in several pieces and buried separately to conceal the crime in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich.
The incident took place on December 6 when the deceased, identified as 15-year-old Vikram, a resident of Bahraich’s Gayatri Nagar, was assisting Sanjay Verma (24) in fieldwork when got trapped into a harvester while working on a farm, Bahraich SP Vrinda Shukla said as reported by Times of India.

The official said that two accused, Sanjay and Lavkush (18), instead of helping Vikram, dragged him in injured condition via the tractor harvester and dismembered him while he was still alive. Both the accused then chopped off his body into at least 17 pieces and buried across the field, while his clothes and shoes were dumped in a nearby pond to destroy evidence.
Meanwhile, Vikram’s family filed a missing complaint on December 9 and during the probe, the police found the teenager’s clothes and shoes near the pond on December 15.
The police ultimately arrested Verma and Lavkush on Monday and during the interrogation, the duo confessed to the crime. Police spent an entire day digging the field, recovering 17 pieces of Vikram’s body. The remains were sent for DNA testing to confirm the identity, and a postmortem examination is underway, the report added.
Police have filed a case against Verma and Lavkush on the charges of murder and tampering with evidence against the accused.
Shukla emphasised that the police would request for fast-tracking the case to ensure maximum punishment.
