IAF Pilot Dies, Another Injured After Jaguar Fighter Jet Crashes In Gujarat's Jamnagar
As per the IAF, two pilots were aboard the aircraft. One pilot died in the mishap, while the other is undergoing treatment.

One Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot died while another suffered injuries after a Jaguar aircraft crashed in Gujarat’s Jamnagar during a night mission on Wednesday, IAF said.
The pilots faced a technical glitch midair and initiated ejection.

“An IAF Jaguar two-seater aircraft airborne from Jamnagar Airfield crashed during a night mission. The pilots faced a technical malfunction and initiated ejection, avoiding harm to airfield and local population. Unfortunately, one pilot succumbed to his injuries, while the other is receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Jamnagar. IAF deeply regrets the loss of life and stands firmly with the bereaved family," the IAF said.
The Air Force said that a Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
Earlier, Jamnagar Collector Ketan Thakkar said, “An aircraft of the Air Force has crashed in the district of Jamnagar. One pilot has been rescued and shifted to hospital. The fire team is present at the spot and has doused the fire. Air Force team, fire team, Police and other teams are present here for the rescue…The civilian area has not been affected…The aircraft crashed in an open ground…"
The incident took place in Suwarda village, nearly 12km from Jamnagar, where an aircraft crashed into a field. After the crash, a large cloud of smoke engulfed the entire area. Later, several burning pieces and debris of the plane could be seen scattered on the ground.
