In a shocking incident in Bihar’s Nalanda district, a teenager attempted a robbery in his own house to buy a new iPhone. The incident came to light on October 22 when the teen’s father, a teacher by profession, reported to the police that someone had locked his son inside the house and robbed the house. Upon receiving the complaint, the police launched an investigation.

During the probe, police found out that four individuals had broken into the house and stolen cash along with a significant quantity of gold and silver jewellery. Initial suspicion fell upon the teen’s sister-in-law (Bhabhi), due to ongoing family disputes.

The teenager also confessed to the crime, stating that he had devised the plan with his friends because his family had refused to buy him an iPhone.
