Man Who Rescued Rishabh Pant During 2022 Car Accident Attempts Suicide With Girlfriend, She Dies

Rajat and his girlfriend, identified as 21-year-old Manu Kashyap, allegedly consumed poison after their families opposed their relationship and fixed their marriages somewhere else due to caste differences.

A report with The Times Of India claimed that a resident of their village saw them both writhing on the ground and immediately raised an alarm. They were both rushed to different hospitals, where the woman died, while Rajat was reported to be in a critical condition.

Soon after the woman’s cremation, her mother approached the police and accused Rajat of abducting her daughter and poisoning her.

The report also quoted Muzaffarnagar Superintendent of Police (SP) Satyanarayan Prajapat as saying that they had received a complaint from the woman’s mother and were investigating the case.

Meanwhile, the doctor treating Rajat was quoted as saying that he had consumed a pesticide and was now showing signs of recovery.

In December 2022, when Rishabh Pant’s Mercedes dashed into a divider in Uttarakhand’s Roorkee, Nitish Kumar and Rajat Kumar were the two men in question who helped save Pant’s life.

The two factory workers who, until that moment, had no idea who Pant was, rushed to the scene of the crash, pulled him from the wreckage and transported him to the nearest hospital, where he received critical care.

Later, Rishabh Pant gifted both the men scooters as a token of gratitude.
